It’s hard to believe the New Year is upon us. We’ve been so busy at Lazar Landscape that the pages seem to be flying off the calendar like in an old movie to show time passing. 2013 was an exciting year that brought us a lot of new work – interesting and challenging projects with clients new and old – and returned us to better business equilibrium. After a few years as a nation of holding our collective breath through the “great recession,” it seems as though people are breathing a collective sigh of relief. If our business is an indicator, 2014 is going to be a great year for the economy. We’re looking forward to an action-packed year of designing and building beautiful gardens.
Last year our hard work was recognized when Lazar Landscape won multiple awards in the CLCA East Bay Chapter Beautification Awards, and statewide at the CLCA Trophy Awards. It’s an honor to be recognized by peers in our trade for the work that we do – and it’s fun to share the wins with our great clients whose gardens we transform into award winners. Although in our minds, all of our landscape designs and installations are winners!
Looking forward to 2014 I am excited for our team of designers and builders at Lazar Landscape to do what we do best: design and build beautiful gardens for good people. It is just as important for us to cultivate relationships as it is the beautiful gardens we’re so happy to create. We’re also eager to continue to share more ideas for your garden in our blog and newsletter.
It will be interesting to see how our climate will continue to change. It could be that, as Californians, we take our next deep breath in and start to wonder about our next big challenge: drought. As much of the nation and world batten down the hatches and stay inside during extreme weather, we’re enjoying warm, dry days in the garden. Outdoor living has always been a benefit to living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but it might be time to start a community-wide rain dance.
Should the rain refuse to fall, Lazar Landscape is here to help. We’re prepared to help you get the most out of your existing landscape and help you develop your own beautiful, low-water landscape. Give us a call if you have questions, and read our blog to discover or be reminded of the different ways to get the most out of your landscape.
Rain or shine, we wish you the very best in 2014!
